Mohave County Library District recently played host to Mr. Ito

Mr. Ito is chief reference librarian at Kasuga Public Library in Japan. Before receiving his MLS degree in Tokyo, he was a teacher at a private boys' high school. He is married and his wife is also a librarian with an organization similar to the Red Cross.

He was particularly interested in visiting rural AZ libraries, since Kasuga (population 100,000) is considered rural. From his visit to Mohave County, he hopes to institute a books by mail service and information and referral service similar to our automated version.
